Living in Monrovia as an immigrant has been an incredible journey that I would never have imagined when I first arrived in the United States. My parents brought me to the US when I was 14 years old, in search of a better life and opportunities for their children. I remember feeling a bit lost and homesick at first, but with time, I found my place and my people in Monrovia.

The greatest thing about America is that there are all kinds of people from different backgrounds, races, and ethnicities. I was amazed at how diverse Monrovia was and how everyone welcomed me with open arms. My teachers and friends played a significant role in helping me feel at home. They made sure to include me in everything, and I always felt like I belonged.

I cannot emphasize enough how my white friends were instrumental in making me feel at home. There is a stereotype that white people are racist, but that could not be further from the truth. My white friends were awesome and went out of their way to make me feel welcome. They accepted me for who I am, and we shared many great moments together.

I remember one particular incident that made me realize how much my white friends valued me. We were walking home from school, and a group of boys began to make racist remarks. My friends stood up for me and made sure that I was okay. I felt like they all gave me one big hug. That was a turning point for me, and I knew that I had found true friends who cared about me.

Living in Monrovia as an immigrant has taught me many valuable lessons. I have learned that people are not defined by their race, ethnicity, or background. Writing a song is always a deeply personal and creative process, and "No Quiero Tu Perdón" was no exception. This song was inspired by a friend who was struggling to forgive her father, and I wanted to explore the theme of forgiveness in a way that was relatable and honest. 

The writing process for "No Quiero Tu Perdón" was a bit unconventional. I actually started with the melody first, humming a simple tune that I thought conveyed the emotion I wanted to capture in the song. From there, I worked on the lyrics, trying to find the right words to express the raw, complicated feelings that my friend had shared with me. 

Once I had the song written, it was time to record it. I opted to record the song at home, using a digital audio workstation (DAW) and a few basic recording tools. While there were certainly challenges to overcome (like trying to get the perfect take on each vocal line), I was really happy with how the final version of the song turned out. 

Looking back on the process of writing and recording "No Quiero Tu Perdón," there are a few memorable moments that stand out to me. One of my favorites was the moment when I first played the finished song for my friend who inspired it. Seeing the emotion on her face as she listened to the words I had written was a truly special moment, and I'm so grateful that I was able to capture it in this song.

Esta canción fue inspirada por una amiga cercana que ha tenido una relación difícil con su padre. Ella me compartió las luchas y sentimientos de querer decir algo, pero al final sentirse como si ya no pudiera hacerlo. Era un sentimiento con el que podía relacionarme profundamente, y supe que quería capturar esa emoción en una canción. 

El proceso de escribir y grabar "No quiero tu perdón" fue uno catártico para mí. Puse mi corazón y alma en las letras y la melodía, basándome en mis propias experiencias y en las emociones compartidas por mi amiga.
